We didn’t win the election, but we have a lot to celebrate.
More than 3,100 people voted for change. We ran strong despite major opposition from two Democratic establishment factions. We held our own against James Sheppard, who spent five times as much. We gave voters an important choice.
We talked about serious issues and offered solutions. We held our opponents accountable for their records. We knocked on thousands of doors.
We inspired people.
“It makes me feel better about our prospects just knowing someone such as yourself is out there, not afraid to run, and willing to work hard and take a swing at it,” said Marc.
This isn’t a time to feel disappointed. It’s a time to feel energized about what we’ve accomplished and what could be in the future. Whatever comes next, I’ll be fighting to make Rochester a city of opportunity for all.
